Reports indicate that Carfax has reported that consumers are at a risk of purchasing vehicles that may have been recalled in the past and have not been fixed.

According to the reports, the number of car sales with recalls that went unrepaired has increased in the last fiscal year by more than 25 percent. This is especially a problem in Midwest states. More than 2 million of these vehicles were sold online during the year of 2012. Consumers are asked to beware of the risks associated with purchasing a vehicle that has been recalled and hasn’t been repaired. If you are looking into purchasing a vehicle online, make sure to check Carfax for a list of open recalls in the country.

Prevent accidents and keep your loved ones safe by ensuring the vehicle you would like to purchase has been repaired if it was recalled in the past.

Too often, accidents occur and people are injured because defective vehicles went unrepaired. Motorists who own a car that has been recalled are urged to never ignore the alert. Contact your car’s manufacturer and have any issue that could pose a serious accident risk repaired at once.
