Multiple news agencies have indicated that several models of competition and closed course motorcycles are being recalled over a possible crash risk.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has stated that about 7,000 units of these motorcycles are affected by the recall. According to the official announcement, 13 models of the closed course vehicles were equipped with throttle cables that could malfunction unexpectedly. This issue could result in an accident because the throttle may become uncontrollable to the rider.

The affected vehicles are white, blue and yellow and the word Husaberg is printed on both sides of the vehicle. The eleven KTM models affected by the recall include the 85 SX, 85 SXS, 125 SX, 150 SX, 150 XC, 200 XC-W, 250 SX, 250 XC, 250 XC-W, 300 XC and 300 XC-W variants. The company has reported that while no incidents have been reported so far, consumers should stop using the recalled motorcycles promptly. Federal agents urge affected consumers to contact KTM as quickly as possible or visit an authorized dealer in order to have the recalled vehicles repaired for free promptly.

Stay on top of the news to ensure that any recalled vehicle you may own is safe in order to avoid potential accidents that could result in injuries.
