According to several news agencies, the Global NCAP secretary has stated that it hopes carmakers and federal regulators come together to improve the basic levels of auto safety.

According to a series of reports, he claimed that in countries where the market is still emerging, regulators have noticed that consumers need a better and more reliable body structure in order to make vehicles that are both safe and durable.

According to Global NCAP, about 20 million vehicles out of 60 million new cars sold in 2011 may lack basic safety features.

With the major growth of the auto industry worldwide, regulators ask companies and governments to work together in order to ensure consumers are safe.
