More Honda Vehicles Recalled Over Crash Risks

Honda has issued another recall, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The reports indicate that all units of the 2005 Pilot and Acura RL, and all units of the 2005 and 2006 Acura MDX are being recalled after it was noted that these vehicles might come with an electrical capacitor that could have been damaged during assembly.

These vehicles were equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist control modules that may have been assembled with components that could fail, leading to an issue with the vehicle’s braking system. The firm has stated that if the driver applies partial force to activate the brakes while the VSA is malfunctioning, the vehicle may come to an abrupt stop, increasing the risk of an accident.

The brake lights could also be affected, which could pose an accident risk since other drivers may not notice the vehicle is stopping.

To prevent any potential future accidents, the company is contacting all affected vehicle owners. The affected parts will be replaced and repaired for free. If you have any questions or concerns associated with this recall, make sure to follow this link and read the full recall statement.

As an attorney, I urge you to act promptly in order to have your vehicles repaired in full quickly. Too often, people are injured in accidents that could have been prevented if recall instructions had been heeded.
