According to the official recall statement issued by Ford, multiple units of Escape and Fusion vehicles are being recalled over a possible fire.

The 2012 models of Fusion and Escape have been linked to 13 cases of engine fires, which has prompted the recall. Ford has announced that it’s currently working on this problem to come up with a repair solution for all affected vehicles, until then, affected owners are asked to contact dealers to ask for loaner vehicles until the problem is corrected.

If you own one of the recalled vehicles and you choose to continue to drive the recalled vehicle, you are urged to stop the car, turn off the engine and leave if the dashboard warning light comes on.
