BMW Recalls X5 xDrive Over Possible Crash Risks
A series of articles revealed that BMW has decided to issue a recall for several units of the automaker’s 2009 through 2012 X5 xDrive 25d SAV models over a possible crash hazard.
According to the official recall statement, these vehicles may have been equipped with idler pulley bolts that could fracture while in use. This issue could lead to a failure of the power assisted steering system in these vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
To prevent accidents, BMW will be notifying affected owners as soon as possible. All recalled vehicles will have the defective parts replaced for free.
