The dream of having a car that drives itself has been around for a long time.

According to a recent article, back in 1939 at the World’s Fair in New York, GM sponsored an exhibit called Futurama, which was entirely about a vehicle that would be designed to drive itself in the future.

Car companies along with Google are working on this dream but are also focusing on adding more safety features to the autonomous cars.
