Ambulances Built on 2008 Dodge Sprinter Chassis Could Pose Crash Risk

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, multiple ambulances built on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500 chassis are being recalled after it was noted that these vehicles could experience an issue that would cut the flow of electricity to the vehicle conversion.

The federal agency has stated that these vehicles could have the electrical power interrupted while the vehicle is in use, which could cause the warning lights and sirens to fail to operate, increasing the risk of an accident.

Wheeled Coach Industries, Inc. has issued this recall along the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to announce that all affected vehicles are being repaired for free at authorized dealers. The official recall campaign is scheduled to begin after June 3rd.
