Another Toyota Recall Is Announced
Toyota’s latest recall has affected over 7 million vehicles in the country all due to a power window switch that could be exposed to rain or other fluids and may cause a fire even if the vehicle is not in use.
This latest recall is one of many recall announcements the automaker has issued in the past several years. In 2010, reports show that the company issued over 5 recalls and even had to pay over $48 million dollars to the government in fines for not reporting issues sooner to the safety regulators.
The recalls have been related to all sorts of issues from faulty accelerators to hazardous floor mats. However, this last recall is the largest the company has ever had to deal with.
