California Passes ‘3 Feet’ Bike Safety Bill

California has acknowledged the bike riders in the state, according to recent news articles.

According to the news, the State has passed a law that gives bicycles a three-feet buffer when on the road. The new law follows the reports on the rise of the number of accidents that include bike riders.

Reports show that most accidents occur because many motorist don’t give the respect bike riders deserve and because of it, many riders are unfortunately hit. Most people don’t take into account that a bicycle rider has nothing to protect him or her while riding. According to the news, more then 3,000 riders have died in the past years as a result of accidents.
Hopefully this law will help those numbers go down.
