Chevy Spark EV to Launch in July

General Motors has announced that Chevrolet will have electric Spark models available in July.

The new vehicles will be available for $27,495, which is the original price before any add-ons.

The new model could easily be the best-priced EV available in the country. Unlike the Fortwo and the new Nissan Leaf, the Spark EV can only be sold to consumers in California and Oregon. It comes with Chevy’s MyLink seven-inch touch-screen infotainment system that also offers an integration system that links the driver’s smartphone with the vehicle. The technology also provides Apple Siri Eyes Free voice control and Pandora.

Drivers can also enjoy the BringGo navigation system without having to pay anything extra.

Extra packages offer a DC fast-charge option and a SAE combo plug. The company promises that any device can get 80-percent charge in 20 minutes with Chevy Spark EV’s fast-charger option.
