Phone providers and automakers have been working on technology that addresses the issue of distracted driving in order to see a reduction in the number of auto accidents caused by distracted drivers.

Now, fleet owners are worried that drivers may not be abiding by the laws and increasing their risk of being involved in accidents. Because of that, Aegis Mobility and Sprint are coming together to offer FleetSafer, a technology that would activate a phone block once the vehicle is in motion, keeping drivers from texting, browsing or sending and receiving emails.

This technology could help fleet owners to increase safety and keep drivers from being distracted while behind the wheel.
