Edison2 Unveils New Vehicle That Could Get 100 MPG

Multiple news agencies have reported that the new vehicle by Edison2 could turn heads with its sci-fi looking design.

According to some of the reports, the vehicle is equipped with an electric motor that is placed in the rear of the body. Experts say that the difficult access could be an issue to some experts. The model made its official debut in Michigan. The concept, which won the Automotive X Prize in 2010, uses smaller components than most suspension in conventional vehicles. This could help the structure to become lighter, increasing the vehicle’s overall efficiency.

In spite of the promising mpg estimates of 100 mpg, experts urge consumers to remember that other vehicles that are much more practical than the new Edison2 concept have already achieved the same mpg rating. The Ford Focus Electric, Mitsubishi i-MiEV and the Nissan Leaf are all reportedly capable of getting 100 mpg.
