Euro NCAP Calls For Van Safety Improvements

According to several news agencies, the organization known as Euro NCAP has called for more safety devices and features in future models of vans.

Reports indicate that after the agency crash-tested a series of different models of top-selling vans, it was discovered that only one model, Ford’s Transit Custom, was able to secure a top five-star rating. In recent tests, Hyundai’s H1 van, Fiat Scudo, Citroën Dispach or Jumpy and Peugeot Expert scored a three-star rating while the Nissan Primetar model only scored two stars.

Tests performed by the Euro NCAP attempted to recreate real-life situations, reports show. According to the safety body, automakers responsible for the manufacturing of these vans should focus on offering better and more reliable safety features.
