According to several reports, the new Ram 1500 and Fiat 500L will be equipped with a newly designed Uconnect touch-screen infotainment system.

Experts say that the company added 5 inches to the infotainment touch-screen. The new device runs entirely on Microsoft software, which is not a proper change in how the Uconnect is set up. According to the company, the reason behind the Uconnect 5.0 running on Microsoft software is because this particular version of the system is a variant of Fiat’s Blue&Me, which is a Microsoft-based system.

Despite the different software, the new infotainment display is very similar to different versions of the Uconnect.
