Fire Risk Linked To Suzuki Recall

American Suzuki has issued a recall for all units of the 2007 XL-7 vehicles over a possible fire risk.

The problem could have stemmed from a potentially defective return or supply port in the vehicle’s fuel pump module.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that this recall has been placed in order to keep drivers safe from a potential risk of fire, since a cracked port could result in a fuel leak that, in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire.

The reports issued by the federal agency show that the manufacturer has not decided on a notification schedule as of now. All defective fuel pump modules will be replaced for free at authorized dealers.
