Multiple news agencies have been reporting that a car safety seat check has been scheduled for June 19, 2013.

The reports indicate that local lawmakers decided to organize this event in order to educate parents on how to safely install and utilize car safety seats. Parents are urged to never forget their children must always be placed in a car safety seat, even in the baby’s first ride from the hospital to the family home, a car safety seat must be used.

The seat should always be installed in the rear seat. Infants must always be seated in rear-facing car seats. Studies show that parents that buckle up raise children who are more likely to buckle up as well.
