GM Recalls Several Models Over Transmission Issues

Multiple GM cars are being recalled over possible transmission issues, reports show.

According to the news, 474,000 vehicles were equipped with automatic transmissions that were assembled with cables that could break unexpectedly, which could potentially lead to a crash. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, this issue was discovered after the the federal agency learned that several consumers were involved in crashes because the vehicles rolled over abruptly in spite of the fact that the shifter was in the park position.

Reports show that one of these incidents caused a person to become injured. To prevent future accidents, the company is issuing this recall for all units of the 2007 through 2010 models of Pontiac G6s, Chevy Malibus and Saturn Auras in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
