Honda Motorcycles Recalled, Components Could Become Fractured

All units of the 2012 NC700XDC and NC700XC motorcycles have been recalled by Honda, according to a series of news reports.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported recently that these vehicles were equipped with parts that haven’t been heat-treated properly at the time of assembly, which could possibly pose crash risks to consumers.

The company stated that these vehicles have been furnished with drive plates that may wear out prematurely, causing these components to crack. If this occurs while the motorcyclist is riding the recalled vehicles, these plates could fracture and the rider may lose propulsion.

To prevent accidents and keep riders safe, the federal agency has asked affected consumers to contact Honda right away.
