Multiple news agencies have reported that at least 572,000 units of the Honda Accord vehicles have been recalled by the automaker.

A faulty power steering hose can be problematic and the firm is concerned about this issue, since it could lead to a fluid leak, and possibly an engine fire or loss of power steering assistance. This recent recall is part of an earlier recall that involved 53,000 Acura TLs from the 2007 and 2008 models. Enough parts to repair the affected cars should be ready in early 2013.

Until then, owners of the potentially affected cars are encouraged to watch out for issues associated with leaks and smokes.
