Honda Reports Solution For Roll-Away Issue, Vehicles Recalled

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Honda has issued a recall for all units of the 2003 and 2004 Odyssey and Pilot vehicles over an issue that could result in the unexpected roll-away of the vehicles.

The recall also affects all units of the 2003 through 2006 Acura MDX. The recall follows the report indicating that these models of vehicles were linked to several incidents including one that resulted in injuries. Since Honda announced a remedy for this issue, the recall was announced.

Consumers with the affected models should either stop driving these vehicles and contact the manufacturer or start using the emergency brakes every time they stop their cars and take the keys out of the ignition until the repair is completed.

If you own any of the affected Honda models, do not wait until an incident occurs. Contact the manufacturer and schedule a visit to have this issue repaired at once. The firm has stated that if necessary, the ignition switch will be replaced entirely for free. Stay on top of all recall announcements and ensure your family’s safety by always responding to recall announcements as soon as possible.
