Infiniti Could Develop Steer-By-Wire Vehicles

Multiple automakers have been looking into manufacturing safer cars by coming up with more proficient and well-designed safety features.

Now, Infiniti, which is the luxury division of Nissan, has decided to look into producing cars with systems that allow the brakes to be triggered electronically. The company engineers believe that having a system that steers the wheel and brakes the car electronically could make vehicles that are safer for drivers and pedestrians.

Engineers say that electronic braking and steering systems will be more precise than the systems these vehicles are now equipped with, which shift mechanically.
