Multiple news agencies have reported that Land Rover decided to use the aluminum chassis in more models, which could represent a major change to the automaker.

The use of the all-aluminum architecture will make the new generations of the Defender, Discovery and LR4 models much lighter and efficient, which could make these vehicles also much more desirable.

According to some of the reports, the company also hopes to make the use of aluminum chassis an option to the Chinese market.
