Luxury Cars Score Low In New Crash Test

Multiple media outlets have been reporting that a new frontal crash test developed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety was designed to replicate what occurs when a car strikes either another car or a fixed object.

According to the agency, this is the type of accident that kills approximately a quarter of the total amount of victims of car accidents in the country yearly. Most midsize luxury cars – including the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A4 – performed poorly.

The federal agency claimed that out of the 11 luxury cars tested, only the Acura TL, Infiniti G, and Volvo S60 earned good or respectable ratings, which is something that may concern many luxury car owners.
