Maserati North America Issues Recall That Affects Over 7,000 Vehicles
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has indicated that Maserati North America, Inc. decided to issue a recall after it learned that several of its vehicles were equipped with certain rear tie rods that could potentially pose a crash risk to drivers.
The vehicles affected include 2005 through 2008 Quattroporte, 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C and Granturismo. A total of 7,438 units were affected by this recall.
According to the federal agency, these vehicles could experience a failure because the rear tie rod was not properly treated with anti-corrosion material, which could callow the component to weaken and become more frail.
