Mercedes-Benz Issues Recall For Multiple Vehicles Over Hood Issues
Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall statement regarding multiple vehicles over an issue with the car’s hoods.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the vehicles affected by this recall include the 2012 version of the CLS550 and CLS550 4Matic models.
The federal agency has reported that, due to the fact certain bolts may have not been tightened properly, the secondary latch striker that helps to keep the vehicle’s hood in place may become loose.
If this latch is loosened up and the primary latch is not secured, the hood may open unexpectedly, which could pose a risk to occupants.
Consumers with these vehicles should contact the manufacturer as soon as possible.
