It has been reported by a series of news agencies that Ram has announced it will be launching its 2014 1500 EcoDiesel pickup truck towards the end of the year.

The vehicle has been announced right after it was reported the diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee had been unveiled for the 2014 model. The new 1500 will be the first diesel-powered non-heavy-duty pickup available in the country.

The reports show that this new model may not differ vastly from the Jeep EcoDiesel model, especially when it comes to engine performance and efficiency.
