According to a recent article, TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. has recently issued a report stating that it has launched its new adaptive side airbag system that promises to enhance the protection of all vehicle occupants by allowing the airbags to stay inflated for longer periods in more severe crashes, which could lead to a greater absorption of energy.

This device could offer greater protection by the implementing of the flexi adaptive vent and reducing the probability of a potential bottoming out that could occur between the door trim and the occupant.
