A new set of standards that would eventually be added to Europe’s General Safety Regulation has been reported.

According to an official release issued by European officials, the new set of standards would include better child and passenger safety requirements, safety observations for electric vehicles, seat belt reminders, standards regarding the avoidance of luggage displacement and better tire monitoring system standards.

Lawmakers are setting the new standards for 2020, however, some believe that these new requirements will result in a significant drop in the number of traffic deaths.
