New Hybrid Air Technlogy Unveiled By Citroën

Multiple news agencies have reported that Citroën has developed a new hybrid automobile technology that may change how European drivers see hybrids, which could also make hybrid technology even easier to develop and less costly to produce.

According to experts, Citroën’s new technology consists of a hybrid engine that uses a gas engine and a hydraulic motor, which is completely different from most hybrid autos available nowadays, which run on an electric motor and an internal combustion engine. The new hybrid concept has been added to the new C3 hatchback, which is now being displayed at the 2013 Geneva auto show.

Hybrid Air, the name Citroën has given to this technology, can deliver 240 horsepower and can improve fuel efficiency for drivers dwelling in the city by 45 percent.

Automakers have been working to develop auto technology that makes vehicles more reliable and efficient without having to compromise power and comfort. Hopefully, more technological innovations will continue to make vehicles much more reliable and efficient than they have ever been.
