New Smart ForTwo Is Safer, Reports Indicate

Multiple news agencies have indicated that the new smart fortwo commercial shows the vehicle’s safety cell being able to support the weight of an SUV.

The new ad hopes to prove that consumers who choose to drive the new tiny vehicle will be just as safe as they would be in larger vehicles. According to the reports, the structure of the 2013 model appears to hold a vehicle that weighs about 3.5 tons.

The new model comes with a reinforced high-strength steel tridion safety cell, anti-lock braking system, 8 full-size airbags, an electronic stability program and a crash management system.
