NHTSA Gives Buick Verano A 5-Star Safety Rating

According to a recent article, the new Buick Verano has received a 5-star rating for its safety standards.

The tests were performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and, according to the news, this vehicle ended up being named one of the 2012 Top Safety Picks of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The reports show that the model was tested under the federal agency’s newly revised New Car Assessment Program, which implements more rigorous crash tests. Overall test ratings are based on side and frontal crash tests combined with rollover resistance evaluation.

According to experts, the body structure in the new Verano vehicle provides drivers and occupants safety in rollover accidents.
