NHTSA Probes Vehicles Over Coolant Leak Concern

Multiple news reports show that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating complaints they received from at least ten car owners concerning coolant leaks.

Units of 2001 through 2007 Porsche 911 vehicles were linked to the complaints. According to the federal agency, if there’s an issue with the vehicle’s hose fitting, the coolant may leak and pose a loss of control risk since the coolant could cause the rear tire to lose traction.

To prevent accidents, the federal agency decided to investigate this problem in order to identify exactly what may be going on with the vehicle’s engine construction. If a defect is identified, the company along the federal agency will be issuing a recall in the near future. Click here for more info on this particular probe.
