NHTSA Recalls Keystone Recreational Vehicles

According to several news agencies, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Keystone RV Company issued a recall statement concerning several units of 2013 and 2014 recreational vehicles over a possible problem with the awning installation.

The reports show that the company decided to issue this recall after it was noted that the vehicles come with certain Dometic 9100 Power Awnings and Weather Pro awnings that may have been installed with a sequence that was not completely followed. This problem could cause the awning to unfurl while the vehicle is in use or parked, increasing the risk of an accident.

The affected consumers are urged to have their vehicles inspected promptly. The awning motors should be replaced for free if necessary. As an attorney, I urge California drivers and consumers to make sure they act promptly if they were affected by this recall. Avoid an accident and act promptly to have this issue eradicated.
