The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is orchestrating an educational campaign to coincide with start of the new school year.
According to the news, Think Save, Ride Safe is meant to teach kids to be aware of traffic dangers and take precautions while in transit to and from school. Organizers hope to prevent accidents and keep the number of child-related auto accidents low.
Reports show that the NHTSA registered that 2,800 children were killed in traffic-related incidents during the year of 2010 alone.
