The residents of Bainbridge Island can breathe a sigh of relief, as the fire department, Bainbridge Pediatrics, and Safe Kids Kitsap are working together to organize a quarterly child car seat check.
According to the local news outlets, the first safety event and educational gathering happened on August 27, and in the future, safety checks will be held on the fourth Monday of every third month. Car accidents claim the lives of children every year, making them a top cause of death for children under 14.
