Scion IQ Vehicles Recalled By Toyota
Multiple Scion IQ vehicles are being recalled over a possible airbag system failure.
According to a recent report issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the 2012 and 2013 models of Scion IQ were equipped with an Occupant Classification System that could fail if the cable is damaged, which could occur when the passenger seat slides.
The automaker has reported that, to prevent injuries and keep passengers safe, these vehicles will be equipped with protective covers that will keep the sensor cable from being damaged.
Toyota is notifying all recalled vehicle owners to have this issue repaired as soon as possible.
