Scooters Recalled By Yamaha, NHTSA Reports

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall announcement concerning all units of the 2009 YW125, or Zuma 125 scooter models over a possible crash hazard.

The federal agency has stated that these vehicles were equipped with certain fuel pump components that may have not been properly cleared during manufacturing, which could increase the risk of an engine stall due to a limited fuel supply.

According to the multiple reports, these vehicles will be fully repaired for free at authorized dealers. Consumers with the recalled vehicles may contact the manufacturer as soon as possible to learn more about this recall and how to have this problem fixed.

Consumers are urged to act fast, before an accident occurs. It’s important to remember that if you have been affected by a vehicle recall, you should have the vehicle repaired at once. Dealing with lemons is not easy and it could be dangerous. Driving a vehicle with defects could pose an accident risk to consumers. California consumers are urged to stay on top of all recall news frequently in order to prevent injuries, as an attorney, I can safely say that many accidents occur before any recalls are reported.
