Several Models Of Vehicles Recalled By GM
GM has issued a voluntary recall for several units of the models 2006 and 2007 of their vehicles including the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Trailblazer EXT, GMC Envoy and Envoy XL.
According to the news, some models of the Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender are also listed under this recall. The problem stems from a faulty electrical switch in the power window and door assemblies, which could cause a fire if in contact with water. Cars sold in the snow belt states are particularly at risk, due to the salt water from de-icing roads.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that GM will replace the faulty switch at no cost and will be contacting owners at some point in the future.
