Texas 85 MPH Road Could Be Unsafe, Some Say

A series of news agencies have indicated that in Texas, a new road has been built to allow drivers to go over 80 mph while traveling between San Antonio and Austin.

According to the reports, a 41-mile stretch of the Texas Highway 130 allows drivers to go at 85 mph, which in some cases, could pose a safety risk, some safety advocates say.

The tollroad was built in order to reduce the traffic that has been making the Interstate 35 crowded as of late. The government of the state decided to allow drivers to travel at high rates of speed in the 50-mile stretch, which has been making safety advocates protest the opening of the new road.
