In North Dakota, 76 percent of all drivers buckle up while 84 percent of drivers nationwide have their seat belts on while operating a vehicle.
According to the Department of Transportation, 82 fatalities caused by traffic accidents out of 142 were directly related to unbelted drivers. The authorities have been urging drivers to remember just how important wearing a seat belt while behind the wheel is, since it could make the difference in an auto crash.
According to recent statistics, a person is much more likely to survive a car accident if he or she buckled up prior to the crash.
