Toyota Recalls 7.43 Million Vehicles Over Fire Risks

Over 7 million units of Toyota vehicles are being recalled due to a bad power window switch that could eventually lead to a fire.

The window switches could get stuck and if by any chance, the switch is exposed to any type of liquids, the main switch assembly could melt or even catch fire. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that the recall is also affecting 2009 models of Pontiac Vibes, which is a replica of the Matrix vehicle made by Toyota.

To date, there has been no reports of any injuries and every car owner affected by this recall is being asked to contact a dealership to have the defect corrected.
