Toyotas Recalled For Starting Defect

Toyota Recalls 2009 Toyota Camry and 2009-2011 Toyota Venza Models

On March 7, 2012 Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. issued a press release detailing its recall of 2009 Toyota Camry and 2009-2011 Toyota Venza vehicles. The recall announcement states that it will include 70,500 2009 Toyota Camry models and 116,000 2009-2011 Toyota Venza vehicles. Toyota describes the defect as being one that permits silicon grease to interfere with the vehicles’ stop lamp switch, resulting in the vehicles’ warning lamps becoming illuminated, an inability to start, and an inability to shift out of park.
