Trucks Recalled By PACCAR Over Possible Seat Belt Failure

According to a series of news agencies, PACCAR has issued a recall for all units of the 2013 and 2014 Peterbilt 567, 579 and 587 as well as all units of the 2013 and 2014 Kenworth T680 and T880 models of trucks.

These vehicles were equipped with certain seat belts that are assembled to protect passengers. These devices were equipped with cables that could fray. Since the cables are responsible for the anchoring of the seat belt buckles, this issue means that the device may simply fail in the event of an accident, increasing the risk of an injury.

PACCAR decided to issue this recall promptly to keep vehicle owners and passengers safe.
