Vans Built On Chevy Express And GMC Savana Chassis Recalled

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that Explorer Van Company, Inc. has issued a recall for several vehicles manufactured between August 1, 2012 and April 9, 2013 over a possible fire risk.

The reports indicate that the vehicles were built on GMC Savana chassis and Chevy Express chassis. These vehicles were equipped with certain wiring harnesses that may have not been secured properly, which could result in a short circuit, increasing the risk of a potential fire risk.

The reports show that all affected vehicles will have the wiring harnesses that power the seat heating circuit and the seat riser mechanism completely secured for free. Affected vehicle owners should contact the company as soon as possible to learn more about this problem and schedule a visit to an authorized dealer.
