Vehicles Recalled by General Motors Over Defective Brake Lights

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that 2014 Chevrolet Impala and 2013 Cadillac ATS and XTS vehicles are being recalled after it was noted that the brake lights in these vehicles could flash intermittently while the driver does not apply the brakes. The firm decided to issue this recall after it was noted that this problem is a failure to comply with federal standards concerning reflective devices and lamps.

To prevent an accident that could occur because the following driver fails to adjust the speed of their vehicles properly by paying attention to the brake lights in the car ahead, the company has noted that affected vehicle owners are being notified of this problem promptly.

The issue could be repaired with the reprogramming of the body control module, which will be performed entirely free of charge. The official recall announcement can be found here. If you have one of the recalled vehicles, contact General Motors to ask more about this recall.
