Vehicles Recalled By Maserati Over Possible Tire Failure
Certain Maserati vehicles are being recalled due to an issue with the tire failure monitoring system, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has warned.
According to a series of reports, the 2012 models of Quattroporte, Granturismo MC, Granturismo Convertible and Granturismo vehicles were equipped with a kind of software designed to warn drivers when the tire pressure is low, however, in most cases, these systems will fail.
The federal agency advised consumers that these vehicles might suffer a tire failure incident if the system does not warn the driver about the tire’s low air pressure. To prevent accidents, the company along the federal agency deemed necessary to recall the vehicles affected.
