Reports show that Volvo is recalling the company’s 2013 model of S60 and XC60 vehicles over a malfunctioning supplemental restraint system control unit.

According to the official recall announcement and several other news agencies, this issue may lead to an inadvertent deployment of the seat belt pretensioner. This issue, according to the agency, could also cause the inflatable curtain to be triggered when there’s no need for it to be deployed.
