Recent reports have indicated that every year, Volvo has its cars tested for safety, and every year, Volvo is awarded with top safety awards as a result.

Media outlets have indicated that Volvo has claimed its engineers are working to develop vehicles that, by 2020, would be absolutely crash-free. Features and safety technology is being developed in order to make Volvo vehicles the safest available, and according to recent crash tests performed by safety experts of the Euro NCAP, Volvo is closer to its goals now than it has ever been before.

The Volvo S60 and XC60 have both earned Top Safety Pick awards after being tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety while the V40 scored the Euro NCAP’s Best in Class Cars of 2012.
