Your 2013 Ford Fusion Has Just Been Recalled

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford has issued a recall for all units of the 2013 Fusion vehicles after it was noted that the steering gears in these vehicles may have been manufactured without an internal retaining clip.

The agency stated that the lack of this important component could cause the steering gear to become dislodged while the vehicle is being used. If that occurs, the driver could experience an impaired steering, which could cause him or her to lose control over the vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident.

The automaker has stated that affected vehicles should have the steering gear replaced for free. If you own one of the recalled 2013 Fusion manufactured between April 19, 2013 and April 23, 2013, contact the manufacturer and schedule a visit to a local dealership in order to have this problem addressed promptly. You can also contact the federal agency if you have any complaints associated with this recall. Click here to read the official recall statement published by the federal agency.
